Cannes Palm

Forget everything you thought you knew about Cannes and its Hollywood glitter.
At the tip of the Croisette, a few minutes from the iconic Palais des Festivals, facing the beaches of the Midi and close to the Suquet, the oldest district of the city, open your eyes wide and discover the luxury Belle Plage hotel, a well-named 4* spot with a view of the Mediterranean.

With its immaculate 1930s facade, the building, second to none, evokes the art deco style of Miami, the Bahaus curves of Tel Aviv, the whiteness of the Cyclades, and a touch of casual chic. A very French Riviera place, terribly Mediterranean at heart and a little avant-garde like its owner, entrepreneur Samy Marciano, who has already built the Hotel Bachaumont and the Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers, both in Paris.

inside, softness and calm are the order of the day. From the lobby to the 50 rooms and suites with balconies, designer Raphaël Navot and the architects from Faar give pride of place to natural and textured materials (oak, striped linen, leather, straw, stone, concrete), drawing artfully on exceptional craftsmanship, and dressing everything in white, marble, quartz and foam-colored concrete. Like an organic precious cocoon, the whole awakens in a solar, singular and very successful way, inviting you to let yourself be rocked by the movement of the wind in the palm trees. Simply allow yourself to be guided by the delicate scent of vacation, specially created by Arthur Dupuy, to the roof top on the 8th floor. Conceived as a “boat tied to the sky”, the terrace offers a spectacular view of the colorful roofs of the old town, the pine forests of the Estérel massif and the islands of Lérins, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat. From up there, savor the light, the cinematic panorama, the cocktails shaken behind the copper bar but also the sunny and friendly cuisine of chef Eyal Shani, a great guru of the Israeli gastronomic scene.

To do

RESTAURANTS – At the head of the restaurant Bella, chef Eyal Shani revisits the classics of Provençal, Lebanese and Israeli cuisine in extra-fresh dishes: hummus with pink shrimp and hazelnuts, octopus carpaccio… A cuisine of sharing and celebration that is slightly adjusted when it is invited into the gardens of the Villa Belle Plage, which has a second restaurant: The Garden.
ROOFTOP – A guaranteed “Wow Effect” when facing the fabulous panorama of the rooftop bar, open to the azure of the Mediterranean and the red rock of the Esterel massif.
SPA – Villa Belle Plage’s 8,000 sq ft. wellness area houses eight holistic treatment rooms (detox, anti-aging, rebalancing, Watsu massage) by Holidermie, Hydrafacial, Cellcosmet. Also on the program: salt grotto, water circuit, sauna, hammam, yoga sessions or guided meditations.
CULTURE – Designed by Coralie Gauthier, an alumnus of Le Silencio in Paris, the hotel’s cultural agenda includes classical and opera concerts, outdoor film screenings and theatrical performances.
PRIVATE APARTMENTS – Groups of friends, large families and tribes looking for privacy will appreciate booking into the Residence, a 5-story extension of the hotel with 8 apartments and a penthouse with generous spaces.
GARDEN – Stroll through the garden designed by Gwenaëlle Grandjean in the spirit of the English botanists of the Belle Époque. A veritable acclimatization park planted with philodendrons, palm trees, jasmine, bignone…
